Out of Hours Service
Between 13:00 and 14:00 and 18:00 and 18:30 all calls are forwarded to Kernow Message Handling Service. Urgent matters will then be passed to a doctor here at the surgery.
If you require urgent medical help or advice but it is not a life threatening situation you can call NHS 111 to speak to a fully trained advisor who is supported by experienced nurses and paramedics.
They will ask questions to assess your symptoms, then give you the healthcare advice you need or direct you straightaway to the local service that can help you best.
That could be:
- A&E
- An out-of-hours doctor
- An urgent care centre
- A walk-in centre
- A community nurse
- An emergency dentist
- A late opening chemist
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
