Clinical practitioners

Warren

Warren has a BSc (Hons) in nursing and has had a career in accident and emergency and the medical assessment unit since 1996. He became an advanced nurse practitioner six years ago, initially working in the emergency department, then minor injuries and moving to general practice in 2017. Warren has continued with his education specialising in acute medicine and is working towards an MSc. He is a non medical prescriber.

Christine

Chris is a registered general nurse who has a Diploma in Professional Studies (district nursing), a BSc (Hons) nurse practitioner as well as an MSc in Health Care (EXON). Chris has previously worked as a district nursing sister for 8 years prior to moving into general practice in 2004. She can prescribe and works 3 days a week.

Christelle

Chrissie has a BSc (hons) in Adult Nursing and has completed a MSc in advanced professional practice. She has worked predominantly in acute cardiology and high dependency care before joining general practice. Chrissie can prescribe and enjoys all aspects of medicine with a particular interest in chronic disease management and acute care.

Paula

Paula has been a qualified RGN since 1990. She has a background in cariology/cardiothoracics and 6 years’ experience as a community matron working with long term conditions. Paula achieved a Postgraduate Diploma in advanced health care practice (Royal College of Nursing (RCN), nurse practitioner pathway) and she is a non medical prescriber. Paula has been working in general practice as an advanced nurse practitioner since 2013 and has also credentialed with the RCN recently.

Victoria

Vicki has been a qualified nurse since 1999, having gained her degree and post graduate diploma in nursing. Vicki then credentialed with the RCN as a recognised Advanced Clinical Practitioner. She is now over half way through her Masters in Advanced Practice. Vicki has worked in the Emergency Department as a senior nurse and Emergency Nurse Practitioner for much of her career. However, in 2021, she decided to side step into General Practice. Vicki currently works part time between GP and the Urgent Treatment Centre as a senior Practitioner. She is a non-medical Prescriber.

Jill

Jill is a registered nurse with an MSc in Contemporary Nursing and Advanced Practice. She has been a nurse since 1987 and as a result, has a wide range of experience. Jill worked for four years in the Emergency Department in Watford as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner before moving to Cornwall. She started with Oak Tree Surgery and Pensilva Health Centre in September 2024. Jill is a prescriber and works a Thursday and Friday.

Mair

Mair has worked in general practice since 1992 and has extensive experience in all aspects of primary care but now specialises in women’s health. She qualified as a nurse in 1975, a midwife in 1976, gained a diploma in professional studies in nursing in 1997, gained MSc in healthcare with Merit in 2002, and became a non medical prescriber in 2003.

Mair has worked as an advanced nurse practitioner since 2002. She is now semi retired and works one day a week at the practice offering advice on all aspects of contraception and women’s health.
