Accessing Your Covid-19 Vaccination Status

From 17 May 2021, people in England who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can demonstrate their vaccination status for international travel. A full course is currently two doses of any approved vaccine. Vaccine status will be available from:

The easiest method is to use the NHS App. You will need to submit high level proof of ID in order to be able to view your vaccination status. Your proof of ID will be verified by the NHS App team who will usually do this and grant access to your information within a day. – For easy to follow instructions on how to set up an NHS login, including how to provide your ID, please visit the NHS login information page on the NHS website.

If you are unable to submit your proof of ID via the App you will be asked to enter three pieces of alternative information which can only be supplied to you by your GP practice – please contact the practice for further information – Please note this method can take up to one month to be processed.

If you already use our online services via Patient Access you can view your vaccination status using this service or you can use your existing log in credentials to set up access to the NHS App.

If you cannot access the NHS app or website, and you have had 2 vaccines, you can request a paper letter from the NHS here Get your NHS COVID Pass letter – NHS (www.nhs.uk). Alternatively, if you cannot get a letter online please call 119 to get a letter sent to you. Use this service to get a letter showing your coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination status. You can use this letter if you’re travelling abroad, or going to an event, and need proof you’ve had your COVID-19 vaccination. If you’re going to an event, you’ll need to wait 2 weeks after you’ve been fully vaccinated before you can use this letter.

This practice is not able to provide you with a letter that shows your COVID-19 vaccination status.

When you’re planning your travel, check the latest information on demonstrating your COVID-19 status when travelling abroad on the gov.uk website. Make sure there is time to get proof of your vaccination status before you leave.
